Explore the unique practice of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre and the physical language of "Lunar Halo"

In this three-part professional dance workshop, Cloud Gate dancers Huang Mei-ya and Hsu Chih-hen lead participants through distinct sessions based on the troupe’s own practice.

Part one uses body contact and breathing exercises to explore human connection and develop a shared dialogue and flow. Part two takes Cloud Gate’s unique approach to “Eastern Body”, breath and the spiral dynamics of the nine major joints to explore the changing nature of the body through different combinations of physical practice. Part three uses excerpts from Lunar Halo as a starting point to explore the explosive, sensual physical language of the work.

This workshop is open to dance students, professional dance artists and choreographers of all backgrounds.
